Jamaica Resorts

Jamaica resorts are world-famous for many reasons: the variety of their attractions, their all-inclusive vacation packages, their location on one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Ocho Rios on the north coast is the primary tourist destination for those who like the convenience of Jamaica all-inclusive vacation packages. Almost every resort in this area falls in this category.

Montego Bay and Negril also have Jamaica all inclusive resorts, but other options are available. These areas, and the southern coast as well, have many inns and small hotels that are hospitable, with typically gracious staffs. Jamaica villas are for rent in several areas of the island, and these are both private and economical when compared to the all inclusive Jamaica resorts.

Jamaica Resorts Provide Activities

Although Jamaica is relatively inexpensive compared to other Caribbean islands, all-inclusive rates at resorts start at $300 per day. Resort hotels line the coast at Montego Bay, simply called MoBay by locals. Budget hotels and inns are a part of the interesting mix in this area, however.

Negril, west of MoBay, is being transformed from a laid-back beach village to a resort area. Famed for its gorgeous sunsets, Negril lies on the westernmost end of Jamaica, and is a great setting for weddings. Resorts, on whatever part of the island, are known for their beaches and recreational activities. Much of the prime shoreline is owned by Jamaica resorts that reserve their beaches for the use of their guests. Watersports, from swimming to parasailing, are popular activities that are provided or sponsored by the bigger resorts.
