Jamaica Villa Rentals

Jamaica villa rentals vary along the western and northern coasts, but Jamaica private villas are owned by wealthy people who live in them one or two months a year. One of the best developments is in the Ocho Rios area, which attracts the most visitors. These are one- and two-bedroom, two-bath homes that are close to town, yet situated on the hillside above Ocho Rios.

Excellent security and complete privacy make these villas ideal for anyone wanting get-away-from-it-all Jamaica vacations. Most of the villas are over 1,500 square feet, and sleep seven adults easily because of the addition of a sleeper sofa in the family room and a single bed in an alcove. Compare the cost-per-person price of Jamaica villa rentals to hotel rooms in resorts and see which is the better value.

As if the accommodations weren't enough, there is also a cook/housekeeper to fix meals for your pleasure, so all you need to do is pay for the groceries. The setting is spectacular, with views of the bay and Jamaican flowers and lush vegetation covering the hillside. Despite the feeling of seclusion, a five-minute walk will take you to the bottom of the hill to Island Village, which consists of restaurants and shops and the newest of Jimmy Buffett's Margaritavilles.

Before reaching Ocho Rios, there is a commissary for the Jamaica villa rentals complex where you can find Cuban cigars (illegal in the United States), and Blue Mountain coffee for your breakfast. Also part of the complex is an Olympic-size pool. Jamaica Grande in town has a public beach, and watersports are always available on the bay.
