Jamaica Villa Vacations

Jamaica villa vacations should, by their very nature, be relaxing. Year-round, balmy weather, crystal-clear bays, and fabulous beaches may lead to the development of the Jamaican attitude of "no problem." Easygoing and friendly, Jamaicans make gracious hosts, staff and guides, and they are remarkably hospitable to all comers who sometimes crowd their towns.

For visitors who want to experience the best of this Caribbean island, renting vacation villas in Jamaica is definitely a promising start. Located on the west and north coasts, these luxury homes provide lodging in some of the world's most beautiful locales. On the northeast shore, Port Antonio, Ocho Rios and Runaway Bay are three focal points for tourism and for Jamaica villa vacations.

These three areas are largely responsible for the worldwide fame of Jamaica vacations, and their development as resort areas has boosted tourism tremendously. The Blue Mountains dominate this eastern section of the island, and the great amount of rainfall sustains the rainforest and the deep-green vegetation. Contrasting turquoise bays and estuaries attracted movies stars, theater actors and literati, such as Noel Coward and Ian Fleming, both of whom built homes and lived on Jamaica.

Ocho Rios was once a small fishing port that exported bananas and bauxite; today, it is the leading tourism center in Jamaica. Runaway Bay is far less developed, mainly because it has no cruise ships docking in its bay. All these areas are great for Jamaica villa vacations because the hills provide privacy and the towns provide recreation, entertainment and nightlife.
