Lake Tahoe vacation packages are available online. Beginning with travel reservations and including lodgings, attractions, and other rentals, booking a package can be a great way to save money and enjoy a first-class vacation. With or without a package, however, there is so much to do at Lake Tahoe that it can keep visitors busy every minute they stay there.

Lake Tahoe Attractions

Visitors to Lake Tahoe are often mesmerized by the natural beauty of the area. To enjoy it more fully, they can take a sightseeing or dinner cruise on the lake. They can rent boats for great fishing. Visitors can also swim or sunbathe on clean, sandy beaches. Some of the other natural wonders that are popular tourist venues include Horsetail Falls, Sand Harbor, and Cave Rock. Hiking, horseback riding, golfing, and fishing are popular as are nights at world-class, Vegas-style casinos.

In winter, skiing and snowboarding draw hundreds of thousands of winter sports enthusiasts. For a lazier pastime, winter visitors can enjoy a leisurely sleigh ride. During most of the year, bikers can enjoy a 72-mile bike trail around the lake. Experienced mountain bikers can tackle Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, a drop of 1,500 feet in less than six miles. Thunderbird Lodge is a historic home that visitors can enjoy year round.

Lake Tahoe boasts several famous casinos such as Harrah's, Harvey's, and Caesar's Tahoe. Many of the casinos offer headliner shows, Vegas-style gambling, great food, and all the amenities of world-class resorts right near the lake. The area also offers outdoor and indoor events all year round including major concerts, golf tournaments, an Oktoberfest, and many opportunities for family fun. With over 300 days of sun every year, the Lake Tahoe area has something for everyone.
