If you are craving old world Italian charm, a romantic gondola ride, and state-of-the-art gaming, the Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino is the spot for you. Located on the legendary Las Vegas Strip, the Venetian Resort brings Venice, Italy to Las Vegas, Nevada. The Venetian is a main attraction on the Las Vegas Strip, and is worth a visit.

The Venetian Las Vegas: From Venice to Vegas
As with most of the hotels and casinos on the Las Vegas Strip, there is a theme: The Venetian captures and recreates the romance and elegant charm of Venice, Italy. Hand painted frescoes and living statues adorn the hotel and casino, re-creating the landscape of Venice, and making your stay a unique experience.

The Venetian is located at 3355 Las Vegas Boulevard. The hotel distinguishes itself from other hotels on the Strip by being the only hotel to offer suites in every one of its 4,000 rooms. Even the Standard suites are at least 700 square feet.

The Venetian is a self-contained resort, with three pools, a spa, casino, museum, 17 restaurants, and several entertainment attractions. The resort is directly connected to the Sands Expo Center, and provides easy access to the Center for conventions. This makes the Venetian a popular destination for both business and pleasure travel.

The Hotel and Resort
As you walk into your suite, you are greeted with a beautiful marble entrance. The room features Italian architecture, crown molding, and luxurious fabrics. The bed is adorned with a canopy, and is accompanied by an armoire with a 27" television. The bath is 130 square feet with Italian marble. The living space is sunken, giving it a luxurious and extravagant feel. Each room has a sofa that folds out to a queen size bed, a desk with fax, and a computer printer and copier. There is also a mini bar, which tends to be expensive, and more importantly, it has a sensor.

The rooms are elegant, romantic and decorated with high quality fabrics and linens. There is a tower located in the hotel, which has been called a hotel within a hotel. The tower has suites, a private lounge, a separate registration desk, a pool, and a French bistro.

Due to the popularity of the resort, the Venetian is often full--both in room capacity, and in the crowds of tourists and visitors. As a result, service may be slow due to the overwhelming amount of people. But don't let the crowds scare you away, as the Venetian is known for its efficient and ever-present security.

Another aspect of the Venetian is its size. With an expansive casino, three pools, 17 restaurants, a museum, and shops, the resort is mammoth. Bring comfortable shoes, as you'll be spending some time exploring the resort. It might take you awhile to get from your room to your first cup of coffee in the morning, and you could spend your entire first day in Vegas navigating the Venetian, but luckily, there are slots along the way to add to your enjoyment of this spectacular resort.
