A honeymoon in New York can be magical, as there are truly a host of romantic things to do during your stay. If your honeymoon falls during the holiday season, you are certainly in for a real treat, as the entire city is decorated with twinkling lights, scented greens, and the people seem to walk the streets with a lighter step. You and your beloved may want to take a horse-drawn carriage ride under the stars, while you take in the sites of the city from the toasty comfort of your carriage.

Your guide will provide you with blankets to keep warm, and perhaps you can sip on some hot cocoa or even champagne while you learn about the attractions of the city. After your carriage ride, you can enjoy a candlelit dinner in one of the city's top gourmet restaurants. Manhattan is home to many ethnic restaurants, so you certainly will not have any trouble finding an Indian restaurant or a cozy Italian restaurant to sit back and relax over a delectable meal. Don't forget dessert!

If shopping is your thing, you have come to a shopper's paradise. Manhattan is home to some of the best boutiques and upscale stores in the world. There is FAO Schwarz, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Tiffany's, Cartier, Barney's, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks, Lord and Taylor, and a host of other shops to get lost in for a few hours. Perhaps you and your sweetheart want to take in some Broadway shows during your honeymoon stay. There are always some wildly entertaining performances going on so you should have no trouble finding a show you would like to see.
