Sedona Hiking

If you're lucky enough to spend some time in Sedona AZ, you've got to spend some time on the Sedona hiking trails. I don't care if you're the world's biggest couch potato or you haven't walked any further than the garage to the house in time immemorial. Sedona hiking is a must.

The views are so spectacular, they make grown men cry. The skies are incredibly blue. The sandstone cliffs are glorious. The Red Rock formations are like something from another planet, they're so bewilderingly beautiful. And to underscore all this austere brilliance, there are unexpected streams and woods. The air is clean, fresh and sweet. Sedona is truly an ancient and spiritual place.

Sedona Hiking for All Levels

Fortunately, Sedona hiking is available for all levels, including beginners. If you stay at a Sedona bed and breakfast, the innkeepers can tell you their favorite routes. Hardcore hikers will want to buy a guide book, or visit an online hiking website. Take plenty of water, and make sure that your hiking boots or shoes are properly worn in. This is not the time to break in a new pair of shoes!

Hopefully, your resort or b & b has a whirlpool as well as an outdoor pool. The swimming pool is perfect for cooling the skin and refreshing the body after a long hike. Later on, when you have relaxed a bit and your muscles begin to tingle, a good, strong whirlpool is just the thing to relax those knotted calves or tired quadraceps.
