For families planning a vacation in Gatlinburg, cabins provide many advantages over traditional motel room lodging. One particular asset cabins have over other accommodations is personal space. Having enough room to really relax can make any holiday more enjoyable.

Most motels feature one room, which will contain two beds, one television set, maybe a desk, and one additional chair. This may be fine for a single person traveling alone, but it can quickly cause tension among family members. The layout prevents any privacy, or the option of personal time.

Cabins, on the other hand, are available with multiple bedrooms, many of which can have their very own television sets. There's the living room for family members that want to visit, the bedroom for one who wants to nap, and the back porch for someone who wishes to read. After several hours together, just about any family would enjoy the ability to close a door, even if just for a few minutes.

Unlike motel rooms, cabins in Gatlinburg typically have fully-equipped kitchens, with a nice, big dining table. This allows families not only to eat together in a beautiful, new environment, but also provides a great spot for card and board games, and family talks. Plus, most cabins have at least one outdoor area that's for the exclusive use of the family. This allows for dining al fresco, or just the option of sitting and watching the sunset--even while other family members are inside cheering the football game on TV.
