Pigeon Forge log cabins are the perfect retreat for those enjoying a winter holiday in eastern Tennessee. Like something out of a storybook, log cabins in winter are a perfect, cozy retreat. Nothing says "welcome home" like a roaring fireplace, and a hot cup of cocoa while the snow is gently falling outside.

Pigeon Forge Log Cabins: Lazy Days

Log cabins, for many, are a vacation destinations in and of themselves--especially in the winter time. Wrapped up in a Navajo blanket, reading quietly by the fire makes the "real world" seem far, far away. Having a big family meal around a large, wooden dining table--after everyone has pitched in to help--brings to life what the world was about in years gone by.

This is not to say that log cabins in Pigeon Forge are without modern conveniences. Today, log cabins are as modern as the information superhighway. Many feature internet hookups, as well as multiple satellite televisions. You're only as far from the rest of the world as you want to be in a Pigeon Forge log cabin.

Winter pursuits are not necessarily all house-based either, especially in Pigeon Forge and nearby Gatlinburg. There's skiing, snowboarding and ice skating, too, thanks to an enormous winter resort located just a few minutes away. Nonetheless, having a lodge of one's own may make getting in and out of the outdoor hot tub as much winter sport as one needs....or wants.
