Cooked chicken should never be left out on a counter at room temperature or in the refrigerator for more than two hours. If the temperature is over 90°F, then it should not stay out longer than one hour.
Raw chicken should not be left out of the fridge for more than 2 hours (or 1 hour in higher temperatures). Raw chicken that is left at room temperature can harbor dangerous bacteria and cause food borne illness/food poisoning. So be sure not to leave your refrigerated uncooked chickens at room temperature for too long!
Unopened chicken properly stored in a refrigerator will keep for 1 to 2 days after purchase. After that, toss it in the freezer if you can't use it immediately. Chicken that is still within the expiration date may be cooked and eaten as long as it is stored properly. And cooked chicken can safely be kept in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
If you are buying a pound of whole chicken wings it normally equates to about 5 chicken wings. However if you get a good enough mix of flats and drums then you may be able to get about 10 wings per pound.
