Smoothie Recipe

Healthy Blueberry Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie:

This smoothie recipe is a great option for anyone running tight on time. It will take you less than five minutes to prepare this breakfast smoothie or on-the-go snack, so grab your blender and let’s get going.

Ingredients:

  • Blueberries – you’ll need one cup of frozen or unfrozen blueberries. We recommend frozen so ice doesn’t need to be added later.
  • Banana – add one ripe banana. The banana can also be frozen or unfrozen. Frozen helps with that thick, smooth texture.
  • Peanut Butter – scoop one tablespoon of peanut butter or nut butter of your choice.
  • Non-dairy milk – start with one cup of milk. You can use any kind of milk that you want, however, if you’re vegan or are looking for a slightly healthier option, we recommend almond milk.
  • Toppings (optional) – garnish with leftover blueberries or other fruits of your choice. We always like to add a handful of granola and a sprinkle of coconut.

After adding all of these ingredients (apart from your toppings) to the blender, blend until you’ve reached your preferred consistency. Feel free to add more milk as you go to thin your smoothie. Finally, add those toppings. We’re adding some blueberries, granola, coconut, and drizzled peanut butter.

Some other good toppings to consider are oats and chia seeds! You can also supplement greek yogurt, spinach, and the protein powder of your choice in your smoothie if you’re looking to get some additional protein or nutritional value.
