It’s not just for cartoon mice. Dogs love cheese. Yes it is safe for them. 

Many owners find cheese as an excellent treat during training. Or a wonderful hiding spot for a pill your pup refuses to take. 

There are some things to be aware of when offering your pup cheese. Moderation is key. Cheese is high in fat and can lead to obesity and even pancreatitis. Small dogs especially need to be mindful of their snacks!

Cheese offered to dogs must be plain cheese. Do not give your pup cheese that has herbs in it. Human seasoning can be very harmful to dogs. 

Feeding dogs low fat cheese like mozzarella, cottage cheese, soft coat cheese. 

Also just like humans some pups are lactose intolerant. After you feed your pup cheese for the first time monitor them for digestion issues.
