Boy do humans love to sprinkle garlic on things. Can your pup have some?
No, dogs cannot have garlic.
Garlic is part of the allium family. Allium also includes leeks, onions, shallots and chives. All of which are also harmful to your dog.
Usually it would take quite a significant amount of garlic to make your pup very sick, but you should always avoid allowing your dog to have any.
If you suspect your pup has ingested a significant amount of garlic be on watch for signs of toxicity.
If your dog exhibits any symptoms, contact a vet immediately. Exposure to garlic is rarely fatal, but medical intervention may be necessary to make your pup more comfortable.
