Instant Pot Baby Led Weaning

New Way of Baby Led Weaning

Many parents worry about preparing food for baby led weaning, but there’s a new way to make baby food. With the use of instant pot, you can make meals for your infant in the easiest and most convenient way. Read on to know more about instant pot baby led weaning.

Advantages of Instant Pot Baby Led Weaning

Instant pot baby led weaning is becoming more and more popular for parents since they offer lots of advantages. Here are some of the reasons you need to start using instant pot for baby led weaning:

It helps you save time.

An instant pot or a multi-cooker works by transforming hard, raw foods into soft, baby-friendly meals. What’s great about it is that you can set a timer, so there’s no need for you to stand in the kitchen and do the stirring. This gives you more time to do more important tasks like doing some other chores, playing with your baby, or perhaps taking a few minutes of nap.

It’s mess-free.

Another great thing about using an instant pot or multi-cooker is that they only usually require one pot. Unlike using a blender or a potato masher, you don’t need to transfer food from the processor to your baby’s bowl. This means fewer dishes to wash and thus, less fuss.

You can prepare meals in advance.

Preparing your baby meals in an instant pot lets you make large batches of food. This allows you to save the rest for later, so you won’t need to prepare food every single meal time. You can keep them in the freezer and simply defrost them later in individual portions as needed.

You can make varieties.

If you want your baby to explore more textures and flavors of food, you can mix and match baby purees and soft finger foods. And you can use an instant pot for these varieties. You can cook finger foods like beef, chicken, fish, and vegetables in an instant pot and leave them inside for 1-3 minutes. A few minutes will do for these food types to be soft enough for your little one to self-feed.

How to Use an Instant Pot for Baby Led Weaning

An instant pot should be easy to use for baby led weaning, but here’s a step-by-step guide on how to make baby foods for your precious one:

  1. Prepare the instant pot. Pull in the pot and make sure to add its trivet to the bottom.
  2. Prepare the raw foods. Peel and chop your vegetables or fruits. Add the peeled and chopped produce to separate ramekins.
  3. Add water to the bottom of the pot.
  4. Place 3 ramekins on top of the trivet. To layer, simply place another 3 ramekins on top of the bottom row.
  5. Lock the lid tightly and place the valve in its sealing position. Select the Manual High Pressure and set the timer.
  6. As soon as the timer is up, quickly release the pressure. Then, turn off the instant pot and take off the lid. Let it cool down for a few minutes.
