Gordon has been on his back all day, definitely having tummy trouble. He always acts like such a baby when he’s sick… oh yea, Gordon is a dog. What can I feed my sweet little man?

White rice! Yes, dogs can eat rice. As with all other human food, do not add any butter, oil or seasoning to your pup’s rice. Even salt can cause serious issues with dogs, causing salt toxicity. 

Dogs can eat both white or brown rice. White rice is recommended for dog who are having digestion issues as it is very easy to digest. White rice also has a higher glycemic index and is therefore not recommended for dogs who have diabetes or are obese. Brown rice is more difficult to digest, and not recommended for ill dogs. However the lower glycemic index makes it a better choice for all dogs.
